Airasia massive sale March 2011

It seems that Airasia is waging another war on MAS (Malaysian Airlines) again during its MATF (Malaysian Airlines Travel Fair). Coincidence you say? I think not. And although MAS flights offer in-flight service (individual movies, gaming, food, drinks, etc), I'm sure many will be willing to forgo those perks in exchange for significantly lower no-frills prices.
Last year I have booked my flight to travel to Melbourne (Australia) during one of Airasia's massive sale promotion period. And after booking everything from their comfort kit, nasi lemak (food!) and preferred seatings, it all comes out to a mere RM800 return cost! Beat that MAS!

Now, obviously I do not get the perks of in-flight movies, entertainment and unlimited flow of beverages. I forsee my iPhone will get me there with sufficient entertainment and obviously for the long flight I will get some nap time.

Anyway, here are some of the flight prices obtain from the Airasia website to show you how cheap it is.
